Hellow Fello jPMAPer,
I am John Vargas - Adiova, one of the Chartering Co-founder of jPMAP in mid of 1996 to October 1997 when finally chartered the jPMAP By-Laws, and created the national body in August of 1998 headed by Mike Sebastian of San Beda College.
I remember those days when we are chartering the jPMAP. It was PMAP President then Atty. Pilar (if i am not mistaken) call for all PMAP members whose sons and daughters in college to take initiative to create a Junior PMAP in their respective school. My dad, Mr. Manuel Adiova, Charter - Founder of PMAP Laguna (1979) now PMAP-Calabarzon and former PMAP National Director, ask me to organize jPMAP in my school AMA University while i was taking Computer Science then later shifted to Psychology due to influence of my father in the practice of Human Resources.
There were so many challenges when we are organizing then the jPMAP in 1996-97 many organization just affiliated as jPMAPer, later then left the national body of jPMAP, until we charter it in October and finally formed the National Council with 12 organizing school (AMA Computer College - Makati Campus; Assumption College; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Colegio de San Lorenzo; Polytechnic University of the Philippines; College of Saint Benilde; Saint Scholastica's College; College of the Holy Spirit; San Beda College; Emilio Aguinaldo College; University of the East), not to mention the school i charted in Cebu City in 1998-99 (University of Cebu and San Jose Recoletos) who become the pilar of jPMAP Cebu Council, and jPMAP Baguio that i personally organized somewhat early in 2000 which headed by Baguio Colleges Foundation (BCF) now University of the Cordilleras, UP - Baguio and Saint Louie University. Most of those jPMAPer i mentored during my days both as jPMAPer and PMAPer have handed jobs in PMAP companies and with work as HR practitioners and related corporate functions in HR. I don't know if Jo and Agnes is still in PMAP GHQ who i say are pioneer jPMAPer joined and benefited from PMAP legacy.
I lost track of my root organization until today one jPMAPer from Baguio, Cebu and St. Scholastica ping me in my Facebook Account, i was surprised with the messages they left in my in box thanking me for all the efforts and time i shared with them which they conquer the labor in there respective fields. I lost their numbers and email to be honest and almost forgot them but i was thankful for all the efforts they made.
I just wondering where are the not so old and not so young my fellow jPMAPer in my era, are they still active beside from Agnes who is a staff in PMAP center, hmmm.
FOR ALL jPMAPer WHO JOINED IN OUR RANKS I CALLED ONLY SAY... Di kayo magsisi sa pag-member, pag-sama at pakikilahok sa mga jPMAP and PMAP activities dahil magagamit nyo ang lahat ng natutunan nyo dito. Sabi nga namin noon (ng may yabang) when you become a jPMAPer you are assured to land a job 90% in PMAP companies, at sinasabi pa namin pag nagrerecruit sa employment lamang ang jPMAPer member, sa pag apply ng work sa companies who interview you and scrutinize your CV or Resume, sympre the HR (who is a PMAPer), and when they learned in your CV/Resume na jPMAPer ka automatically humihiwalay ang CV/Resume mo from the result, dahil they know what kind of leadership and training PMAP inculcated in each jPMAPer.
I hope this stories could inspire more jPMAPer to recruit non-jPMAPer to join our ranks. To the current leaders and officers of jPMAPer National Council. More power and good luck to your endeavors.
